Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District's Bowral & District Hospital is seeking an experienced Sterilisation Technician for a temporary part-time role up to six months (until April 2027).

You will provide clean, sterile, or disinfected items to stakeholders within Bowral & District Hospital; preparation of daily operations and sterile stock rotation and control in the operating suite sterile stock room and reprocessing of flexible endoscopes.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Sterilisation Services is required.
• Ability to participate in a rotating roster including all shifts and public holidays.
• Understanding of WHS and infection control in CSSD environment.
• Ability to work in a team or independently per the position description.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean, sterile, or disinfected items and/or equipment to stakeholders.
• Prepare daily operations and sterile stock rotation and control in the operating suite sterile stock room.
• Reprocess flexible endoscopes in the dedicated scope reprocessing room.

Education

Certificate in Sterilisation Services

Certificate II or III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent
