Job summary

SA Health’s Women’s and Children’s Health Network is seeking a Central Sterilising Department Attendant for the Adelaide CBD. The role involves cleaning, decontaminating, packing, sterilising and delivering items under the Team Leader’s direction.

Responsibilities include assisting with training, rotating between theatres and CSD, and ensuring efficient service delivery with a strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III relevant to the position (WHA4) and at least 560 hours satisfactory in-service experience (WHA5).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently as a member of a team.
• Demonstrated experience in a CSD environment through paid employment or training.
• Experience using the range of equipment found in a sterilisation facility, including steam sterilizers, instrument washers, heat sealers, etc
• Experience in the cleaning and management of a range of surgical and medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• All surgical and medical items will be cleaned, decontaminated, packed, sterilised and delivered.
• High level of customer service maintained.
• Cohesive and supportive team to meet unit goals.
