Job summary

CSIRO Education and Outreach is seeking two Engagement Officers to support recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention of participants, volunteers and partners across national STEM education initiatives. You will work within a dispersed Delivery team, connecting education, industry and community stakeholders with CSIRO opportunities.

The role requires strong communication, relationship management and project administration skills, with a focus on inclusion, equity and impact for students,

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Education, STEM education, Science Communication and/or equivalent experience.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
• Demonstrated project administration experience and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify risks and develop practical, evidence-based solutions.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and working independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication for different audiences.
• An understanding of how to work safely with children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers, participants and community organisations.
• Coordinating applications and assessing eligibility across multiple STEM education programs.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders from education, industry and community sectors.
• Facilitating partnerships and supporting successful stakeholder engagement activities.
• Managing participant and program data to support reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Assisting with capability-building activities, events and program delivery.
• Contributing to process documentation, reporting and stakeholder communications.
