Job summary

TTM Engineering in Mulgrave, NSW is seeking experienced Steel Fabricators for both site and workshop roles. You will interpret drawings, fabricate custom metalworks, operate welding equipment, and assemble welded components to create finished products.

The role requires reading drawings, site/workshop experience, and strong problem-solving abilities. You will work in a supportive team with opportunities for overtime and career development.

Qualifications

• Must be self-reliant, reliable and able to work solo or in a team.
• Strong communication skills and time management.
• Proven experience as a Steel Fabricator or similar role.
• Prefer a qualified tradesman; capable apprentices considered.
• Skilled with MIG/TIG welders, grinders and plasma cutters.
• Experience in architectural fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read and understand drawings; site and workshop experience.
• Site tickets / fork ticket.
• Able to mesh well with TTM's culture.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate custom metalworks components.
• Operating fabrication equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Performing precision measuring, marking, and cutting of steel materials.
• Assembling and welding steel components to create finished products.
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to find efficient solutions.
