Job summary

The City of Monash is seeking a Statutory Planner to join the City Planning Unit. This role offers a start or progression path in a large team of experienced statutory planners within a friendly and supportive environment.

You will work on diverse planning applications including residential, Vic Smart, subdivision, and commercial/industrial developments, with a focus on clear customer communication and service delivery.

• Band 5 - $81,501 - $94,440 (plus superannuation).
• Full Time - permanent

The City Planning Unit is responsible for the delivery of statutory planning services within the City of Monash.

About the Position

If you are a town/urban planner looking for a start in your career or career progression, this is the opportunity to work within our Statutory Planning Team. This role provides an opportunity to work within a large team of experienced statutory planners in a friendly and supportive environment.

The role will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of planning applications including residential development, Vic Smart planning applications, subdivision, commercial and industrial developments. Experience of dealing with customers and clear and concise communication skills would be an advantage.

Skills and Experience

• Understanding of statutory planning, and related legislation
• Developed analytical skills and report writing

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in urban planning
• Satisfactory National Police Check; and
• Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
