Job summary

Metro North Health is seeking a Statewide Program Coordinator, Quality & Safety to lead quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance across the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service. You will develop and maintain governance frameworks, drive evidence-based service delivery, and foster a culture of reliability.

Working with clinical teams and statewide stakeholders, you will coordinate safety initiatives, support accreditation, and provide expert advice on incident management

Qualifications

• Lead quality, patient safety, risk management and service improvement initiatives using project management and evaluation methodologies.
• Partner with clinical teams and stakeholders to strengthen quality assurance, governance, audit and compliance processes.
• Provide education, mentoring and coaching to staff and leaders on clinical quality and incident management.
• Analyse complex clinical, safety and risk data to identify improvement opportunities and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Support incident management processes and share safety learnings to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality, patient safety, risk management and service improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate governance, accreditation and compliance activities with clinical teams and stakeholders.
• Deliver education, mentoring and coaching to staff on clinical quality and patient safety.
