Job summary

Trinity College Gawler (STARplex) in Gawler, SA is seeking an Assistant Coach to lead and develop the State Squad, program training and progression, with opportunity to work with National Age and Open Squad sessions.

You will join a dedicated coaching team in a high-performance swimming environment, require Australian Coaching Licence, First Aid, and 2 years of squad coaching experience; full-time role with professional development and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience coaching squads and state-level swimmers.
• Australian Coaching Licence or equivalent.
• Provide First Aid Certification and WWCC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the State Squad.
• Design and deliver age-appropriate training programs and periodisation.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Foster a positive, high-performing squad culture.
• Engage with swimmers, parents, coaches and club stakeholders.
• Support National Age and Open Squad sessions as required.
• Assist with athlete retention, recruitment and club promotions.
• Ensure coaching activities meet club standards and safety requirements.
