Austcorp Executive Recruitment PTY Ltd is partnering with a national consultancy to fill a State Project Lead - Defence Bases role in Western Australia. You will lead teams delivering projects from $2M to over $200M, setting strategic direction and ensuring compliance with defence standards.

This position demands 10+ years in defence/base sectors, at least 5 years leading delivery teams, and NV1 clearance. A civil/electrical/mechanical engineering degree or PMP training is preferred, with proven

Qualifications

• 10+ years' Defence Base sector experience in senior PM or engineering consulting roles.
• 5+ years' experience delivering defence base upgrades, infrastructure projects, or high-profile federal maritime site projects.
• NV1 clearance.
• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical) and/or formal PMP training.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth through monitoring Tenders (including AusTender) and leading Tender response.
• Lead Project Managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary advisory/delivery teams.
• Oversee project delivery, procurement, and alignment with corporate strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with defence clients, government bodies including Defence West, and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop consulting staff.
• Act as the primary in-state point of contact for Defence client and stakeholder engagement.
