Job summary

St Paul’s Junior Campus in Balgowlah, part of Catholic Schools Broken Bay, seeks passionate Stage 3 Classroom Teachers to inspire students and support an inclusive, faith-filled learning community.

You will develop high-quality learning environments, assess progress, and collaborate with staff to meet diverse learner needs while upholding safeguarding duties and NSW Curriculum standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate safeguarding commitment and child safety priority.
• Experience creating high-quality learning environments for Stage 3 learners.
• Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in data analysis to inform teaching and provide targeted feedback.
• Willing to support school priorities and take on leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Stage 3 lessons aligned to the NSW Curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and families.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen learning environments and outcomes.
• Participate in professional development, school events and Catholic Schools Broken Bay initiatives.

Specific Criteria

• Demonstrate a deep commitment to safeguarding, recognising that child safety is everyone's responsibility and must be prioritised at all times
• Experience of developing high-quality learning environments characterised by consistent expectations, strong relationships and inclusive practices with Stage 3 students
• Highly effective organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently
• Proficient in data analysis to inform teaching, provide targeted feedback and ensure all students are appropriately supported and challenged
• Initiative, flexibility and a willingness to support school priorities when required, welcoming leadership opportunities
• Strong knowledge of the NSW Curriculum
• A thorough understanding of NCCD requirements and experience implementing, monitoring and reviewing appropriate adjustments for students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that promote positive partnerships with students, staff and families
• Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4-year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four-year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.
