Job summary

Commonwealth Bank's CommSec Technology is seeking a senior technical leader to own delivery across full-stack web applications and digital product services used by investors. You will drive architecture, build scalable REST APIs with C#/.NET, and work across frontend React UI and cloud-native backend services in AWS.

You will mentor engineers, uphold CI/CD and testing practices, and partner with product and design teams to deliver high-impact customer outcomes at scale.

Qualifications

• Deep full-stack web application development experience across React, TypeScript, C#, .NET and REST APIs.
• Experience building modern, scalable customer-facing applications using React and TypeScript.
• Design and develop secure REST APIs and services using C#/.NET and AWS.
• End-to-end ownership across the full software development lifecycle.
• Lead solution design and architecture decisions balancing scalability, security and reliability.
• Apply engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability and performance optimization.
• Leverage AWS, Docker and Kubernetes to deliver cloud-native applications.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence.

This is a senior technical leadership role within CommSec Technology, responsible for building, evolving and supporting customer-facing web applications and digital product services used by investors every day. This is a true full stack engineering role focused on building and supporting customer-facing web applications and digital product services.

You'll work across the entire stack, from developing React-based user experiences through to designing, building and maintaining REST APIs using C# and .NET.

Success in this role requires strong hands-on expertise across both front-end and back-end engineering, with the ability to lead technical delivery and make architectural decisions across web applications, services and cloud-based platforms.
