Job summary

Easygo Gaming is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join our engineering team in Melbourne. You will contribute to building backend services and systems that power our global gaming platforms, with a strong emphasis on scalability and reliability.

You will work across Go, TypeScript, and Python, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services. The role includes hands-on coding, mentoring juniors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class entertainment.

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering with focus on scalable system design.
• Strong backend experience with Go, TypeScript, or Python; Java/C# advantageous.
• Experience with Node.js, Docker, cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related tech.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes or OpenShift/Nomad/Docker Swarm.
• IaC tooling experience (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
• Experience mentoring teams and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent cross-team communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design scalable, high-performance software solutions in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
• Optimise existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Actively engage in hands-on coding and development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts and project updates.
• Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers in the team.

Qualifications:

• Experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.
• Strong experience in backend server development with proficiency in a modern programming language such as Go, TypeScript, or Python. Familiarity with additional backend languages like Java or C# is advantageous.
• Experience with Node.js, Docker, Cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) andrelated technologies.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration platforms, including OpenShift, Nomad, or Docker Swarm.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Proven expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar, ensuring efficient, scalable, and secure deployment workflows.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
