Job summary

Greenstone is seeking a Staff Engineer to help domain teams design and implement scalable, maintainable technical solutions and drive cross-team alignment. You will bring deep backend and platform expertise to bear as you evolve target architectures and guardrails.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will rescue initiatives, reduce risk, and push a cloud-native uplift toward decoupled architectures that increase resilience and speed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with shipped products.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C#, TypeScript, PowerShell) and frameworks.
• Extensive experience with system design, architecture and large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud, containers, orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with design, test, release and monitoring tools.
• Experience with Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban) and strong technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable technical solutions for complex problems.
• Drive cross-team solution design to ensure architectural alignment and technical consistency.
• Provide deep backend and platform expertise and guide platform uplift toward cloud-native architecture.
• Rescue initiatives by diagnosing issues, unblocking delivery and reducing technical risk.
