Job summary

Greenstone Financial Services is seeking a Staff Engineer to help domain teams design scalable backend solutions and drive architectural consistency. You will collaborate with the Principal Engineer to evolve blueprints and guardrails, and you will contribute hands-on to unblock delivery and reduce technical risk.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with shipped products.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Extensive system design and architecture experience for large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong database knowledge (relational and NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containers, and serverless architectures.
• Experience with design, orchestration, testing, build, release, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong technical leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Customer-first mindset balancing technical priorities with delivery pace.
• Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Help domain teams design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Drive cross-team solution design and architectural alignment.
• Partner with Principal Engineer to evolve solution blueprints and guardrails.
• Provide hands-on contribution to rescue initiatives and reduce tech risk.
• Lead platform uplift toward a decoupled, cloud-native architecture.
