Job summary

Your new company in Canberra is seeking a Solution Architect to design, coordinate and implement end-to-end technology solutions that are scalable and secure, aligned to business objectives. You will develop solution designs, define interfaces and data flows, produce architecture documentation, and guide governance forums.

Your new company

You will join a small Federal Government agency that delivers and supports critical ICT services in a complex and secure environment. The agency is focused on ensuring technology investments align with business outcomes and is responsible for developing architectural standards, reference architectures, design patterns and technology roadmaps that support digital delivery across the organisation. In this team, you will work alongside architects, technology specialists and business stakeholders to shape solution designs, provide architectural assurance and contribute to technology decisions that support current and future business needs.

Your new role

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating and implementing end-to-end technology solutions that are scalable, secure and aligned to business objectives. You will develop solution designs, define interfaces and data flows between systems, produce architecture and design documentation, and contribute to the development of reference architectures, roadmaps and target-state designs. Working closely with delivery teams and stakeholders, you will provide architectural guidance throughout implementation, participate in design governance forums, support technical reviews and ensure solutions meet established standards and design principles.

What you’ll need to succeed

• A minimum NV1 security clearance.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience within the ICT industry.
• At least 2 years' experience producing solution architecture and system design documentation.
• Experience working on secure government systems.
• Experience operating within complex ICT environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A TOGAF certification, equivalent certification, or the ability to obtain one.
