Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Sydney is seeking a Senior Functional Testing Engineer with 7+ years of experience. You will perform end-to-end functional testing, including SIT, integration, and E2E, across complex financial environments.

• Experience in Capital Markets / Financial Services; BaNCS experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with XML, ISO messaging and schema validation.
• Working knowledge of test automation concepts, tools and frameworks, with the ability to execute and maintain existing automated tests.
• Practical experience with Gherkin, Cucumber / BDD and feature-file execution.
• Experience with API testing and UI testing.
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA, Xray and Confluence or equivalent test management tools.
• Experience across onshore and offshore delivery models.

Responsabilidades

• Perform end-to-end functional testing across SIT, integration, regression and E2E testing, with hands-on test execution.
• Analyse requirements and produce test scenarios, cases, data and defect artefacts.
• Execute API and UI testing and validate end-to-end business flows.
• Write, review and execute Gherkin feature files using BDD/Cucumber frameworks.
• Support existing automation frameworks and assist in framework development where needed.
• Investigate defects by analysing logs, data and application behaviour; collaborate to resolve issues.
• Own defects through triage, retesting and closure; present testing outcomes in defect forums.
• Conduct peer reviews of testing deliverables to ensure quality and coverage.
• Support readiness, maintenance and coordination of test environments and dependencies.

Job Description :-

• Strong hands-on experience in functional and manual testing within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience in Capital Markets / Financial Services; BaNCS experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with XML, ISO messaging and schema validation.
• Working knowledge of test automation concepts, tools and frameworks, with the ability to execute and maintain existing automated tests.
• Practical experience with Gherkin, Cucumber / BDD and feature-file execution.
• Experience with API testing and UI testing.
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA, Xray and Confluence or equivalent test management and collaboration tools.
• Experience working effectively across onshore and offshore delivery models.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Perform end-to-end functional testing across SIT, integration, regression and E2E testing, with strong hands‑on involvement in test execution.
• Analyse business and system requirements and produce high-quality test scenarios, test cases, test data and defect artefacts.
• Execute API and UI testing and validate end-to-end business flows across integrated systems.
• Write, review and execute Gherkin feature files using BDD/Cucumber-based frameworks.
• Perform manual testing while effectively using and supporting existing automation frameworks; framework development is not the primary focus of the role.
• Investigate test failures by analysing application behaviour, logs, interfaces and data, and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Own defects through identification, documentation, triage, retesting and closure, and confidently represent testing outcomes in defect triage forums.
• Conduct peer reviews of test scenarios, test cases and other testing deliverables to maintain quality and coverage.
• Support the readiness, maintenance and coordination of test environments and test dependencies.
