Job summary

Endfire Engineering Pty Ltd in Darwin is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter to join its construction team on major commercial and industrial fire protection projects. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to lead small onsite crews and mentor apprentices while delivering high-quality fire protection systems.

You will read plans, install pipework, test systems, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork across site operations.

Responsibilities

• Install fire sprinkler and protection systems as part of construction projects.
• Read plans and connect pipework, pumps, hydrants and related equipment.

• Mentor apprentices and coordinate daily onsite activities.
• Lead small onsite crews and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Complete project documentation and obtain customer sign-offs.

Sprinkler Fitter - Construction Projects (Darwin)

Join Endfire Engineering's Darwin construction team and work on major commercial and industrial fire protection projects.

Due to continued growth and an increase in large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects, Endfire Engineering is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter to join our Darwin construction team.

This is a hands on role with the opportunity to lead small onsite crews and support the delivery of quality fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of fire sprinkler and fire protection systems
• Install and connect pipework, pumps, hydrants, hose reels and associated equipment
• Test systems using air or water pressure to ensure functionality and compliance
• Read and interpret plans, drawings and technical specifications
• Conduct inspections and ensure work complies with Australian Standards
• Mentor apprentices, coordinate daily onsite activities and assist other team members to achieve project outcomes
• Lead small onsite crews where required, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and participate in site safety activities
• Work effectively within a team or independently to complete project tasks
• Complete relevant documentation and obtain customer sign-offs

About You

• Experienced Sprinkler Fitter (or equivalent trade qualification) with the ability to lead small onsite teams and mentor apprentices
• Experience installing fire protection systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
