Job summary

TAFE NSW Ryde Campus is seeking a Technical Officer of Sports Turf & Parks & Gardens to support education delivery through maintenance of facilities and teaching resources. This permanent full-time role includes managing sports surfaces to industry standards and assisting the delivery team with turf area preparation for classes.

The successful candidate will hold a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or related discipline, possess a current AQF3 chemical ticket, and demonstrate strong

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or Parks & Gardens or a horticulture related discipline.
• Hold a current Chemical application ticket AQF3 level or above.
• Have demonstrated knowledge of turf management tools and maintenance techniques.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain delivery locations and equipment for education services.
• Prepare and distribute teaching resources and provide support to teaching staff.
• Maintain sporting surfaces including bowling greens, golf greens, fairways and cricket wickets.
• Irrigation system maintenance and chemical recordkeeping as required.
