Job summary

Brimbank City Council in Sunshine is recruiting a permanent full-time role to lead the Sport and Recreation Unit. Reporting to the Sport and Recreation Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will oversee community clubs and groups, develop facilities planning, and drive health, wellbeing and social inclusion outcomes.

• Support community groups and facilities and assist in facility and capital development.
• Understanding of local community and sport/recreation planning with strong analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sport and Recreation Unit and oversee collaboration with community clubs and groups.
• Develop and implement planning for the use and development of Council's sporting facilities.
• Encourage participation in sport and recreation activities to improve health and social inclusion.
• Provide staff leadership, mentorship and capacity building.
