Job summary

West Arnhem Regional Council in Gunbalanya, NT is seeking a Sport and Recreation Team Leader to guide a dynamic team delivering sport and recreation programs in Gunbalanya and Maningrida, empowering youth and community members to participate and thrive. You will mentor staff, develop creative activities, and lead with cultural awareness in a remote community.

A Cert IV in Sport and Recreation, Youth, or Community Services or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have Cert IV in Sport and Recreation, Youth, or Community Services, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff.
• Experience delivering community sport and recreation programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team to deliver sport and recreation programs in Gunbalanya and Maningrida.
• Develop creative activities and build local capacity.
• Mentor staff in a culturally rich, remote community setting.

Based in Gunbalanya NT - 3 hours from Darwin

West Arnhem Regional Council covers an area of almost 50,000 km² of stunning natural landscape in the western part of Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.

Remuneration Package $93,137 – $97,081 (including salary $81,685 - $85,144)
