Job description

Speech Pathologist / Speech Therapist – Full Time
Therapy Care | Penrith & Blacktown, NSW $85,000 – $110,000 depending on experience

Do you want to make a real difference, with a team that has your back?

At Therapy Care, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcome, valued and supported to live the life they choose. We're looking for a passionate Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team and help NDIS participants build their skills, reach their goals and chase their dreams, big or small.

About us

Therapy Care supports people living with disability through connected, end-to-end care. Our team includes allied health professionals, disability support workers and links to psychosocial supports. That means you can collaborate easily with other therapists and support people around each participant, which makes for smoother, more joined-up services for the people we support.

About the role

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position. You'll work across our Penrith and Blacktown clinics and schools.

New to community work? That's okay. As a service, we are reducing our focus on community settings such as home and schools and are increasingly prioritizing in-clinic clients. While we still do have a number of community-based clients, we'll work within your comfort zone and help you build confidence in community settings at your own pace.

You'll be:

  • Delivering evidence-based speech therapy to NDIS participants aged 2 to 65 years, in line with the NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Supporting people with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, intellectual disability, developmental delay, rare genetic disorders and neurological conditions such as brain injury, stroke, and MS.
  • Wherever possible, primarily working with caseloads that match your interests, with an opportunity to specialise.
  • Working as an independent practitioner, using your own clinical judgement with support from the team when you need it.
  • Helping with clinical in-service education and student programs.
  • Helping shape and improve our therapy services.
  • Providing efficient, timely services in clinic, at home or at school, wherever suits the participant best.
  • KPI's 25 billable hours per week as standard for FTE, with opportunities for paid overtime.
  • Working within a large supportive Allied Health team who collaborates to ensure we provide the best supports to our participants.
  • Provided regular supervision to ensure you are growing and learning within your role.
About you
  • A completed Speech Pathology degree
  • Membership with, or eligibility for membership with, Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • A current driver's license
  • A cleared Working with Children Check and National Police Check, or a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • A real passion for providing high-quality support to people with disability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, so you can connect with participants, families, schools and other professionals
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
  • A reliable, organized approach and a good understanding of privacy and confidentiality
Why join Therapy Care?
  • Novated leasing, so you can get a car through salary packaging, which may lower your tax. Novated leasing includes registration, servicing, and fuel costs within the package.
  • We celebrate our wins! Through our online platform, we run regular programs including Employee of the Month, where the winner receives a $250 voucher.
  • A supportive, collaborative multidisciplinary team
  • Freedom to specialize in the caseloads you're passionate about.
