Job summary

Healthcarelink Support in Campbelltown, NSW is seeking a Speech Pathology Assistant to support children across home, school and clinic settings. You will implement therapy plans, monitor progress and work closely with families to achieve meaningful communication outcomes.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification (eg. Allied Health Assistance) or upcoming qualification in Speech Pathology.
• Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant for Speech Pathologists or Speech Pathology Assistant is desirable but not required.
• NSW driver's license and own transport
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow a therapy plan as delegated by a therapist and respond to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Assist Speech Pathologists in delivering therapy to children in home, school and clinic.
• Provide individualised support to children, focusing on enhancing their communication skills and independence.
• Help in creating, implementing and monitoring therapy plans to ensure positive outcomes.
• Document progress and assist with assessments and reports, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of each child’s abilities.
• Work closely with families, providing support and actively listening to their needs and goals.
• Be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, helping to create an integrated approach to care.
