Job summary

Cross Care Campbelltown in New South Wales is seeking a Speech Pathologist to screen, assess and diagnose speech, communication and swallowing disorders, then implement patient-centred interventions.

You will report to the Allied Health Manager and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care. Applicants with SPA CPSP or eligibility are encouraged, with weekend work optional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Speech Pathology and eligible for SPA CPSP.
• New graduates accepted for this position.
• Excellent time management with ability to prioritise responsibilities.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Drivers license, National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance required or willing to obtain.

What you will be doing in this role:

Working as a Part Time - Full Time Speech Pathologist; you will screen, assess and diagnose speech, communication and swallowing disorders then implement patient centred interventions.

You will report to the very supportive and approachable Allied Health Manager and work within a wider team of Allied Health professionals spanning across multiple disciplines to deliver the Cross Care mission of providing holistic and high-quality care to all patients.

Who we're looking for:

You’ll hold a Bachelor or Masters degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) and be eligible for SPA CPSP membership.

New graduates are accepted for this position with no minimum clinical experience required.

You’ll demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to priorities responsibilities.

You’ll be a strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Weekend work available (only if you want to and never forced).

What makes you the right candidate?

Relevant Degree in Speech Pathology

Previous clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist with working knowledge of AAC preferred (but not necessary)

Experience within NDIS and the disability support sector preferred (but not necessary)

Well-developed understanding of Dysphagia and mealtime management

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills teamed with the ability to work autonomously

Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (or in the process of obtaining)

Experience supporting Autism Spectrum Disorder, Early Intervention, literacy and social skills is desirable

All successful applicants must have or be willing to obtain a Drivers License, National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance prior to commencement

If you have at least the majority of the above skills/experiences, we’re happy to assist you in obtaining the rest
