Job summary

Optimum Health Solutions is seeking Speech Pathologists to join our NSW and Tasmania clinics. You will work with adults and paediatric clients, tailoring caseloads to your interests and career goals, with strong NDIs focus and team support.

You’ll have opportunities for mentoring, professional development, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve communication and participation in daily life.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Pathology required.
• SPA eligibility or CPSP status required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Driver’s licence and vehicle access required.
• Working With Children Check and National Police Check required.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose communication disorders.
• Provide speech, language and social communication interventions.
• Assess and manage swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).
• Design and implement AAC devices (low and high-tech).
• Develop, implement and review therapy plans.
• Conduct functional communication assessments.
• Educate parents, caregivers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Allied Health, educators and clinicians.
• Deliver services in community, clinic and school settings.

About The Role

With a strong NDIS and disability focus, you’ll work with a diverse range of clients across adult and paediatric settings, with the flexibility to tailor your caseload to your interests and career goals.

Your Responsibilities May Include

• Assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders
• Speech, language and social communication interventions
• Assessment and management of swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)
• Design, trial and implementation of low and high-tech AAC devices
• Development, implementation and review of evidence-based therapy plans
• Functional communication assessments
• Parent, caregiver and stakeholder education
• Collaborative care planning with Allied Health professionals, educators and medical practitioners
• Community, clinic and school-based services
