Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a Speech Pathologist (Grade 1) to join our expanding team in a full-time, ongoing capacity. This role is suitable for early career or new graduates and forms part of the Grade 1 Rotational Program across acute, subacute, and outpatient caseloads.

The position offers supervision, professional development opportunities, and exposure to procedures such as videofluoroscopy and laryngectomy management within a supportive regional hospital.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on delivery patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality speech pathology services to inpatients, outpatients, and community clients across a broad caseload.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, patient-centred care.
• Contribute to health promotion, education, and family/carer support in relation to communication and swallowing needs.
