About Us

Playology Clinic is a therapist-owned paediatric allied health clinic in Melbourne’s outer east.

We combine the heart of a not-for-profit with the flexibility of private practice. Our values-driven team of allied health therapists, therapy assistants and admin staff work collaboratively to support children, teens and families in meaningful, neuroaffirming ways.

Our Speech Pathology service launched in 2026 and has grown quickly, with strong demand from families who value collaborative and accessible care. We’re now expanding our speech team and are looking for clinicians who want to be part of building something thoughtful, sustainable, and well-supported within an established multidisciplinary clinic.

We have strong team retention and engagement — because Playology is a workplace where clinicians feel supported, valued, and resourced to do their best work.

What We Offer
  • Professional growth: $2,000 pro rata PD budget + one week (pro rata) paid study leave + fortnightly supervision with SP clinical lead + weekly case conferences
  • In-house PD series: “Growing Together” series with guest facilitators (2025 included DIR/Floortime, Learn to Play, Bridges Out of Poverty + more). This series is in addition to personal PD budgets and time.
  • Collaboration: work alongside psychologists, OTs, therapy assistants, and onsite partners
  • Flexibility: realistic workloads and a calendar that works for you
Your Role
  • Deliver high-quality, neuroaffirming speech pathology supports to children and adolescents
  • Assess and support speech, language, literacy, feeding and social communication needs
  • Provide therapy that is strengths-based, practical, and embedded into everyday environments
  • Collaborate with psychologists, OTs and therapy assistants to support generalisation of skills
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary formulation and team discussion
  • Keep records up to date and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture
  • Partner with therapy assistants to embed strategies in natural settings
About You
  • Qualified Speech Pathologist, with Speech Pathology Australia membership
  • Allied Health Award Level 2 or Level 3 experience (or ready to step into either level). Graduates are welcome to apply for our graduate program. Details available upon request.
  • Passion for paediatric practice and neuroaffirming care
  • Skilled in assessment, intervention, and collaborative practice
  • Committed to strengths-based, neuroaffirming care
  • Current WWCC
  • Experience with NDIS participants
  • Confidence working across clinic, school and home environments. We are a clinic-based service, but value working alongside children's natural environments as required (e.g. observation sessions, care team meetings, etc.)
  • Special interest in early communication, literacy, and/or feeding
  • Training (or interest) in orofacial myology. Our existing speechies currently offer this service, and we are keen to continue to grow and develop it
