Job summary

House of Speech in Australia is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join a private practice with flexible arrangements, including telehealth-only or clinic-based roles in Kingaroy or Currumbin. You will be supported by a therapy assistant and a collaborative team.

The role features a paediatric caseload with options to see adults, 1:1 and group sessions, parent coaching, kindergarten programs, and opportunities to lead or participate in innovative projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Speech Pathology or higher.
• Paediatric caseload experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver telehealth and face-to-face sessions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs.
• Deliver evidence based intervention in a range of practice areas.
• Develop personalised therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs for therapy assistants to deliver.
• Provide therapy through telehealth, face-to-face sessions, or a combination of both.
• Work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to support development.
• Offer coaching and strategies to parents, carers, and educators to enhance carryover of goals.
• Mentor and supervise Therapy Assistants.
• Create and utilise engaging therapy resources to support client goals.
• Assist in developing online materials and programs to extend reach and impact of House of Speech.
• Stay updated with evidence-based practices and incorporate into practice.
• Contribute to growth by leading or participating in innovative projects.
• Maintain accurate client notes, progress reports, and records with policies.
• Manage your schedule effectively with admin support.

Job description

The role offered is for a Speech Pathologist to join a private practice within a dynamic and fulfilling role. This role is flexible to find the right fit. We can offer this role for you to be working on telehealth only, supporting clients in our Kingaroy clinic while you have a therapy assistant present to help with delivering the intervention. We can also offer a clinic based position in our Kingaroy clinic or Currumbin clinic, where you will support face to face and on telehealth. We are flexible for part time, fulltime, or contractors!

This role will be a paediatric caseload, however, if you have an interest in seeing adult clients there are options for this also. Within the role, you will provide 1:1 face to face services, run group programs, engage in parent coaching and training and have the opportunity to facilitate kindergarten programs. Your workday will be based around your preferred service delivery modes to best suit you and your working style.

• Manage your schedule effectively to balance client sessions, preparation, and other responsibilities. However, please not this role has full administration support.
