What You Will Be Doing

The acute/subacute speech pathology team works within multidisciplinary teams across acute/subacute sites and in partnership with community teams. The grade 2 speech pathologist provides evidence based and person centred clinical care, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, patients and families.

  • Eligible for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience in the provision of best/evidence based adult related speech pathology assessment and management practices
  • Commitment to own professional development
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven involvement in quality and service improvement activities
  • Strong time management skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in student clinical supervision (swap around)
  • Experience in speech pathology clinical supervision
  • Videofluoroscopy competency or commitment to undertaking and maintaining competency
  • Tracheostomy competency
