Job summary

Bloom Healthcare on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join their community-based team. You will provide personalised, evidence-based Speech Pathology services to clients across the lifespan, addressing autism, Down syndrome, post-stroke rehabilitation and other neurological conditions, across homes, schools, workplaces and community settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of clinical Speech Pathology experience.
• Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Strong knowledge of functional communication, speech, language and swallowing assessments.
• Client-centred, evidence-based, and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
• Experience with NDIS participants or Home Care Package preferred.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication, organisation and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, functional communication and swallowing assessments.
• Develop and deliver individualised, evidence-based therapy plans.
• Support clients with AAC, feeding and swallowing, literacy and early intervention.
• Work with families, support workers and multidisciplinary teams to improve participation and quality of life.
• Monitor client progress and document outcomes.
• Contribute to a collaborative clinical environment through knowledge-sharing.
