Blacktown & Erskine Park | Four-Day Contractor Opportunity | Tuesday-Friday
Experienced clinicians and new graduates welcome
Hello,
We’re looking for a kind, caring and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our team in a four-day contractor role, working Tuesday to Friday across our Blacktown and Erskine Park clinics.
This opportunity brings together professional autonomy, fully equipped rooms and the support of an experienced team, with flexibility in how you organise your appointments within those days.
Whether you’re an experienced clinician seeking greater independence or a new graduate looking for a supported start, we’d love to hear from you.
About Us
For ten years, Your Speech Room has been built on integrity, compassion and meaningful relationships—with our clients, their families and each other.
We are an established, clinic-based paediatric practice with consistent referrals and strong community trust. Our modern rooms are stocked with comprehensive assessments and high-quality therapy resources, giving you the tools to deliver meaningful, evidence-based care.
Our clinic is built around people, not numbers. There are no KPIs, billable-hour targets or expectations to fill every gap in your diary. We value thoughtful clinical decisions, meaningful therapy and a sustainable way of working.
The Opportunity
This contractor role offers the opportunity to build and manage your caseload within an established practice, with administrative support, resources and colleagues around you.
You’ll have the freedom to bring your own clinical style, exercise professional judgement and organise your appointments within your Tuesday-to-Friday clinic schedule.
The role would suit a clinician who enjoys working independently and values being part of a team. You may be returning to work, taking the next step in your career or looking for more ownership over how you practise.
New graduates are welcome. You’ll be supported through our structured early career program, with mentorship and guidance tailored to your experience as you develop your confidence and clinical skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing assessment and evidence-based intervention across speech, language, social communication, AAC and literacy.
Building trusting relationships with children and their families.
Planning therapy around each client’s strengths, needs and goals.
Managing your caseload, clinical documentation and communication with families.
Sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to support client outcomes.
What We Offer
Professional autonomy: trust in your clinical judgement and flexibility in how you organise your appointments.
No KPIs or session quotas: space to focus on meaningful care.
Consistent referrals: established client demand and a trusted local reputation.
Administrative support: help with the day-to-day coordination of your caseload.
Fully equipped rooms: access to comprehensive assessments and quality therapy resources.
Mentorship and connection: experienced colleagues to discuss cases, share ideas and learn alongside.
Professional development: opportunities to continue building your skills.
A clinic-based role: work from our Blacktown and Erskine Park locations.
About You
Ideally, you have at least 12 months of experience, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.
You bring:
A warm, respectful approach to working with children and families.
A commitment to evidence-based, individualised care.
Confidence managing your own caseload, or a willingness to develop this with support.
Strong organisational, communication and time-management skills.
Initiative, reliability and a desire for professional autonomy.
Current Speech Pathology Australia membership.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency with appropriate work rights.
Build a Career That Fits Your Life
We want you to feel trusted in your work, connected to your colleagues and supported as you grow. At Your Speech Room, you can develop your own way of practising with an established team behind you.
