Job summary

Calvary Health Care in Canberra is seeking a Speech Pathologist for a casual position up to 10 hours per week. You will deliver clinical and non-clinical speech pathology services across multiple units with supervision from the Allied Health Manager.

Key duties include collaboration with food service staff to optimize menus and safety, and providing supervision to dietitians, nurses, students and Allied Health Assistants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent.
• Eligible for SPA membership.
• 2+ years clinical hospital or aged care experience with dysphagia knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled clinical and non-clinical speech pathology services within the Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedic and Hyson Green Mental Health units under the Allied Health Manager.
• Collaborate with food service staff to optimize menu planning, diet provision and food safety.
• Provide supervision and guidance to dietitians, nursing staff, students and Allied Health Assistants.
