The Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) invites applications for a Speech Pathologist to deliver clinical services within the Speech Pathology Department. You will work as part of multidisciplinary teams serving stakeholders across Queensland Health.

We seek a tertiary-educated professional eligible for Speech Pathology Australia membership, with desirable CP Pathology status. The role is vaccine-preventable disease risk and requires pre-employment checks such as Blue Card.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree in Speech Therapy/Pathology with eligibility for membership in Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Certified Practising Speech Pathology Status is desirable.
  • Vaccine Preventable Disease risk role and pre-employment checks including Blue Card.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech pathology clinical services within the Speech Pathology Department as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support patient outcomes in a public hospital setting.

  • Casual rates of $50.44 to $73.24 per hour (HP3)
About your opportunity:

Deliver speech pathology clinical services for the Speech Pathology Department as a member of multidisciplinary teams in the The Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.

Requirements:
  • The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Therapy/Pathology providing eligibility for practicing membership to Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Certified Practicing Speech Pathology Status with Speech Pathology Australia is desirable.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including Blue Card checks.
