Alliance Clinics in Townsville and Mackay seeks a Speech Pathologist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a supportive team. You will work with children and families, across NDIS pathways, with opportunities to develop specialist interests and grow professionally.
Enjoy structured supervision, mentoring, and a gradually expanding caseload within a collaborative multidisciplinary setting. Competitive salary and benefits are provided, with flexible options and strong community ties.
Every clinician brings something valuable to the team. Whether you're just beginning your career or have years of experience behind you, you'll be treated as the professional you are.
We don't believe respect is something you have to earn after graduation. Your qualification represents years of learning, assessment and dedication, and we value that from day one.
Confidence, judgement and expertise continue to grow throughout a career. That's why we've intentionally created a workplace where people are supported, challenged and trusted at every stage of their professional journey.
We'll never expect you to know everything, but we'll never make you feel like you know nothing either. Instead, we provide the mentoring, collaboration and opportunities that help good clinicians become great ones.
Recruitment doesn't have to start with a formal interview.
If you're interested in working with us in Townsville or Mackay, let's catch up over coffee, lunch or dinner and have a genuine conversation about what you're looking for in your next role, and whether Alliance Clinics feels like the right fit.
Bring your partner, kids, mentor, best friend, or all of them. Coffee, lunch or dinner is on us.
Finding the right workplace is a two-way decision. We want you to interview us just as much as we want to get to know you. If you'd prefer a traditional interview, that's absolutely fine too.
Allied health in North Queensland is a small world, so there's every chance we've crossed paths before. If you're brand new to Townsville or Mackay, welcome. We'd love to help you get to know the community.
This role is primarily about therapy and delivering high quality, evidence based care.
Our speech pathology team works across a varied caseload, supporting children and families through the NDIS, as well as dysphagia and lifespan services. We encourage clinicians to develop specialist interests where they align with community need or simply keep our work interesting.
You’ll work alongside experienced speech pathologists and a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians and allied health assistants. As your confidence and experience grow, so will your opportunities.
We believe great clinicians are built by working alongside great people.
You'll receive:
Structured supervision from experienced speech pathologists.
Regular mentoring and protected clinical support.
A gradual, well supported caseload that grows with your confidence.
Planned opportunities to discuss cases, ask questions and strengthen your clinical reasoning.
A genuinely collaborative multidisciplinary team that enjoys sharing knowledge and celebrating each other's successes.
Modern, thoughtfully designed clinical spaces.
An experienced administration team that keeps paperwork under control so you can focus on clients.
Ongoing professional development and CPD funding.
You'll also enjoy:
(Optional) Four day work weeks or eight day fortnights.
Wellness Days. Use your personal leave to recharge however that looks for you, whether that's the beach, the movies or simply taking a day for yourself.
Regular socials, tuckshops and celebrations.
Team discounts of 25 to 50 per cent at some of Townsville's favourite venues.
Winners of Best Major Enterprise at the 140th Townsville Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
We're an NDIS Registered provider with robust systems that support great clinical practice without getting in the way of it.
We're far more interested in your attitude than the length of your CV.
You're someone who enjoys meaningful conversations, values teamwork and believes in person centred care. You're curious, collaborative and committed to continually growing as a clinician while helping clients achieve great outcomes.
Whether you're taking the first steps in your career or looking for your next challenge, you'll find a team that's genuinely invested in your success.
Speech Pathology Australia membership, or eligibility to obtain it.
First Aid and CPR.
Blue Card.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number.
Evidence of your right to work in Australia
We're offering a salary package of $90,000 to $125,000 plus superannuation, CPD allowance and performance bonuses.
That range reflects genuine differences in experience, capability and responsibility. Whether you're at the beginning of your career or bringing years of clinical experience, we'll have an honest conversation about what feels fair.
At the end of the day, we want every member of our team to feel respected, valued and rewarded.
Some people enjoy pushing themselves, taking on extra work and seeing their income reflect that. Others prefer to work steadily, maintain balance and switch off at the end of the day.
Both approaches are completely valid.
Our team is almost evenly split between those two groups, and we think that's a healthy balance.
We offer generous bonus programs and overtime opportunities for clinicians who want them, but they're entirely optional. You'll never be pressured to chase bonuses or work additional hours to fit in.
