Job summary

Ability Action Australia on the Gold Coast is seeking a passionate Speech Pathologist to join our team delivering life-changing support to NDIS participants. You’ll work across home, school, clinic, telehealth and the wider community, with our Ashmore office as a hub and the remainder of your time spent working from home to support caseloads within 30 minutes of your suburb.

The role emphasizes a strengths-based approach, collaboration with OTs, Physiotherapists, Psychologists and Behaviour

Qualifications

• Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Post-graduate experience as a Speech Pathologist.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

• A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload and deliver therapy services.
• Use clinical observations and standardised assessments to inform goals.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that improve quality of life.
• Collaborate with a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
• Mentor junior clinicians (for experienced therapists).
• Ensure compliance with current NDIS requirements.

• Tailored Assessments:Combine standardised and non-standardised assessments tailored to each participant’s unique needs.
• Work close to home: Our main office hub is in Ashmore where you will attend MDT meetings & training sessions. The rest of your time is working from home. Caseloads are allocated within 30 mins or so from your home suburb.
• Support & training: Weekly supervision sessions! Scheduled training & development by clinicalspeech leads.
• Want Part or full time?: Sure! we can consider a minimum of 3x days or more - no weekend work.

Your Role Will Include:
