Job summary

Therapy Connect is seeking Speech Pathologists to join our multidisciplinary teams across the Northern Territory, supporting schools, students, families and educators within a Multi-tiered System of Support. You will assess, consult, intervene and provide professional learning to improve speech, language and communication outcomes for children and young people.

Travel to remote schools may be required; four-wheel drive training is provided.

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology and SPA registration or eligibility.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
  • Strong communication, consultation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong facilitation and professional learning skills.

Job description

  • Professional 1 - Remuneration Package $86,482 - $110,012 (including salary $73,100 - $93,041)
  • Professional 2 - Professional 2 - Remuneration Package $113,101 - $134,507 (including salary $95,697 - $114,104)
  • Professional 3 - Remuneration Package $138,602 - $155,011 (including salary $117,625 - $131,735)
  • Student Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services – Client Services Darwin, Northern Territory

Are you a qualified Speech Pathologist looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in children's lives while experiencing the unique landscapes and cultures of the Northern Territory?

We are seeking Speech Pathologists to join our multidisciplinary teams, supporting schools, students, families and educators across the NT. Working within a Multi-tiered System of Support framework, you will provide assessment, consultation, intervention and professional learning to improve speech, language and communication outcomes for children and young people.

About the Role

As a Speech Pathologist, you will:

  • Conduct environmental assessments and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Support students experiencing speech, language and communication challenges that impact learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, families and other allied health professionals.
  • Facilitate professional learning to build educator capability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and service development initiatives.
  • Support inclusive and evidence-based practices across educational settings.
About You

You’ll be passionate about helping schools create environments where all students can thrive and have the ability to influence change through coaching and leadership.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology and Speech Pathology Australia registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
  • Strong communication, consultation and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong facilitation and professional learning skills.

Experience the Northern Territory

This role offers the opportunity to work in a unique and rewarding environment, supporting students and schools across diverse communities. Travel to remote schools may be required, including travel by four-wheel drive vehicle or light aircraft and occasional overnight stays. Four-wheel drive training will be provided.

Corporate-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence.
