Job summary

CARDINAL CARE SUPPORT SERVICES is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to provide evidence-based, person-centred services to NDIS participants and community clients across the lifespan. You will work with families, support workers, and other health professionals to deliver practical goal-focused interventions in homes, clinics, schools, and communities.

You will conduct assessments, develop therapy plans, and contribute to a collaborative, trauma-informed service culture with flexible hours

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and AHPRA registration are required.
• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership or eligibility is preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in disability or community-based practice is valued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with participant goals and NDIS plans.
• Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, and other clinicians.
• Provide training and strategies to build capacity in the participant's support network.
• Maintain clear progress notes, reports, and NDIS documentation.
• Deliver therapy across clinic, home, school, telehealth, and community settings.
• Contribute to a positive, trauma-informed service culture.

About the role

You'll provide evidence-based, person-centred speech pathology services to NDIS participants and other community clients across the lifespan, with a strong focus on functional communication, social participation, and quality of life. You'll work closely with participants, families, support workers, and other allied health professionals to deliver practical, goal-focused interventions in homes, clinics, schools, and community settings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with participant goals and NDIS plans.
• Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, support workers, and other clinicians.
• Provide training, coaching, and practical strategies to build capacity in the participant's support network.
• Complete clear, timely progress notes, reports, and NDIS documentation.
• Adhere to professional, ethical, and organisational standards and policies.
• Provide therapy in clinic, home, school, telehealth, and community environments.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and trauma-informed service culture.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
• Current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Current AHPRA registration is required at the time of commencement.
• Experience or strong interest disability, or community-based practice.
