Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Canberra region, with work close to home. The role offers a balance of home visits, clinic spaces and office time, designed to fit your lifestyle.

You will manage a varied caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings, supporting individuals across the lifespan with feeding, language development, dysphagia and AAC. Weekly supervision and professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership with SPA.

Responsibilities

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Canberra region, depending on where you’re based - work close to home!

In this role you will:

• Manage a varied, community‑based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults
• Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant‑centred goals
• Deliver evidence‑based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes
• Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals
