The Transition to Specialty Practice program offers structured clinical support, study days, and an end-of-program assessment to build oncology nursing skills and advance your career.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with minimum 12 months acute nursing experience at program start.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in line with professional standards and Barwon Health requirements.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Establish effective communication with patients, families and healthcare professionals to support quality and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety, quality improvement, audits and service initiatives within the clinical area.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and comply with relevant clinical, regulatory and information management requirements.
• Support the learning and development of colleagues and students by sharing your skills and knowledge.
• Maintain professional registration, mandatory training and ongoing continuing professional development.
