Job summary

MedRecruit Limited is seeking a locum SMO/FRACGP/FACRRM for a Level 1 rural hospital in Queensland. The assignment runs from 25 to 30 November 2026, with accommodation and travel arrangements potentially available.

The post requires current AHPRA registration and offers 24-hour inpatient care, Accident and Emergency services, and broad general primary healthcare management in a culturally diverse island community on the Queensland coast.

Qualifications

• Must hold current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
• Experience in rural/remote hospital settings is advantageous.
• Ability to work across inpatient, ED and primary care disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour inpatient care and clinical leadership.
• Manage Accident and Emergency presentations and urgent care.
• Oversee general primary healthcare management for a Level 1 rural hospital.
