Job summary

Medrecruit AU - Specialist Consultants is seeking a locum medical practitioner to cover shifts at a rural Queensland hospital situated between Ipswich and Toowoomba, about 90 km from Brisbane.

Shifts are 10 hours long (day and evening) with on-call overnight duties. Travel and accommodation are included. Must hold current AHPRA registration to practice in Australia. ASAP start through 31 January 2027.

Qualifications

• Must have current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
• Experience in Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide locum coverage in a rural Queensland hospital.
• Deliver Emergency Medicine services, with on-call overnight duties as required.
• Coordinate travel and accommodation logistics if needed.

This is a public hospital-based within a rural Queensland (QLD) town between Ipswich and Toowoomba, 90 km from Brisbane. The hospital itself has a 22-bed acute care facility providing a comprehensive range of services including a number of allied health options.
