Job summary

Springvale Park Special Developmental School in Melbourne's south-east is seeking Education Support class staff to join a collaborative team. You will support teachers, contribute to individualized learning and participate in wellbeing initiatives that benefit students and staff.

Role focuses on coordinating student routines, supporting communication with families, and delivering targeted learning activities across year levels with a strong emphasis on inclusion and post-school preparation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to coordinate and support others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively in a team environment, including high level oral and written communication skills.
• Possess the technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position.
• Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to management and other school staff in respect to the work area.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Coordinates educational programs and rostering of aides and staff as directed.
• Provides medical intervention support to students, under appropriate training and guidance.
