Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Dental Officer Level 2 to provide clinical services in Special Needs Dentistry across multiple sites, ensuring quality, compliance and ongoing service improvements. The role supports accreditation processes and works with other hospitals within SLHD.

The position requires current AHPRA registration, an interest in Special Needs Dentistry, and flexibility for a variable roster in a dynamic public health environment.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Dentist.
• Interest in Special Needs Dentistry.
• Knowledge of Oral Health Service policies and OH&S requirements.
• Understanding of public sector dentistry principles and accountability.
• Ability to work a variable roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services in Special Needs Dentistry per protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities.
• Assist in accreditation readiness for SDH/Oral Health Services.
• Work across Sydney Dental Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and other SLHD sites.
