South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) seeks a Dental Officer Level 2 for a permanent full-time role at the Oral Health-Special Needs Dental Clinic in Sydney. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive SESLHD benefits package.

Clinicians will provide high-quality oral health services, education, and demonstrate independent professional judgement with at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• A minimum of two years post-graduate experience in the practice of dentistry and a demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement.
• Successful completion of the Dental Officers Skills Assessment set by the Centre for Oral Health Strategy. This applies to Dental Officers progressing from Level 1 to Level 2.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventive / population health approach to patient care.
• Willingness to participate in quality improvement activities and participate in clinical research activities as required.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes within SESLHD.

Responsabilités

• To deliver high quality oral health clinical services, including oral health education, to eligible clients in SESLHD.
• Clinicians at this level are competent and independent, have at least 2 years clinical experience and work under minimal professional supervision, exercising independent professional judgement on routine clinical matters.
• Undergoes quality improvement activities and clinical research as required.
