Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Brighton, Colorado. This full-time role offers guaranteed hours, planning time, and a supportive team environment.

You will provide individualized instruction, develop IEP goals, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and school staff to help students access education and participate across settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Active or eligible New Hampshire educator certification with the appropriate Special Education endorsement.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, eligibility, progress monitoring, and special education procedures.
• School-based special education experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Good organization and time-management skills.
• Comfort with educational technology, data collection, and documentation.
• Ability to complete required background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group special education instruction.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and services.
• Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Collect data and monitor academic, behavioral, and functional progress.
• Complete progress reports, IEP documentation, and required records.
• Conduct or participate in educational assessments and eligibility processes.
• Serve as a case manager for assigned students.
• Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related-service providers, paraprofessionals, families, and administrators.
• Support positive behavior, inclusion, independence, and student participation across school environments.
