Job summary

Clough, in partnership with Water Corporation and Jacobs, is seeking Special Class Welders to commence immediately for the Woodman Point Sludge Treatment upgrade. You will read drawings, demonstrate safe welding practices, and perform SMAW and FCAW on piping and structural sections.

The role requires a Welding Certificate, a 6G weld test to AS/NZS 4041, and valid High Risk Work licences. Opportunities for training and career advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Read drawings, work orders and production schedules to understand job tasks.
• Demonstrate the safe use of all tools and equipment associated with welding.
• Operate manual or semi-automated welding equipment to conduct welds using SMAW and FCAW.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and production schedules to understand tasks.
• Demonstrate safe use of welding tools and equipment.
• Perform Stick Welding (SMAW) and FCAW.
• Prepare items to be welded and weld risers, spools and structural sections.
• Assist pipefitters with pipe fit up and installation.
