Job summary

Baulkham Hills Radiology is seeking a skilled sonographer to perform general and women’s ultrasound examinations with a focus on patient comfort and accurate imaging. You will obtain and document diagnostic images, measurements and findings, and work closely with radiologists to support clinical assessment.

As the service grows, you’ll contribute to quality assurance, ongoing professional development, and share knowledge with colleagues to improve the patient and scanning experience.

Qualifications

• Recognised sonography qualification and ASAR accreditation are required.
• Proficiency across general and women’s ultrasound.
• Clear clinical judgement and confidence to work independently within your scope.
• Strong communication and patient-centred care.
• MSK ultrasound proficiency is desirable but not essential.

Job description

You’ll perform general and women’s ultrasound examinations, combining technical proficiency with considerate patient care. You’ll obtain and document diagnostic images, measurements and findings accurately, and work closely with radiologists and colleagues to support clinical assessment. As the service grows, you’ll also have opportunities to contribute to quality assurance, share knowledge and suggest improvements to the patient and scanning experience.

About you

• A recognised sonography qualification and current ASAR accreditation
• Demonstrated proficiency across general and women’s ultrasound
• Sound clinical judgement and confidence working independently within your scope
• Clear communication and a respectful approach to patient comfort, privacy and dignity
• MSK ultrasound proficiency, highly regarded but not essential
• $80–$90 per hour plus superannuation, reflecting your clinical skills and relevant experience
• Allocated continuing professional development allowance
• Ongoing in-house teaching from senior sonographers and radiologists
• Scanning appointment times allocated by mutual agreement, taking your skill set and examination requirements into account
• Nearby all-day parking available
