Job summary

Vito's, a vibrant Italian-American restaurant in Sydney, seeks a Casual Sommelier to deliver an engaging wine experience while energising our service team. You will guide guests through an evolving list, suggest thoughtful pairings, and support the wine program with inventory and cellar tasks.

The role suits a passionate hospitality professional with wine knowledge across Italian, French, Australian, and international wines, and availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sommelier in a premium, high-volume restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of Italian, French, Australian, and international wines.
• WSET or CMS qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Casual Sommelier to join our team.

The Role

As a Sommelier at Vito's, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional wine experience while contributing to the energy and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver knowledgeable, approachable, and engaging wine service.

• Guide guests through our wine list, offering thoughtful recommendations and pairings.

• Support the Head Sommelier and management team in maintaining our wine program.

• Assist with wine inventory, stock management, and cellar organisation.

• Share wine knowledge with the wider team.

About You
