Job summary

OneStep Group in Melbourne is seeking a Solutions Consultant to architect, advise, build, migrate and support SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and related M365 applications for enterprise customers.

You will work hands-on delivering engagements from the service catalogue, following approved methodologies and documenting engagement scopes to ensure secure, high-quality outcomes across Azure, Purview, Copilot Studio and Power Platform.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Experience designing and delivering SharePoint solutions, including Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Azure.
• Experience migrating data to SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premise using tools like ShareGate.
• Experience with Copilot for SharePoint and governance solutions for SharePoint and Teams.
• Ability to advise, configure and deploy governance and security solutions for SharePoint and Teams via Purview.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

About the role

Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Lead, the Solutions Consultant is responsible for delivering a wide range of solutions engagements within the Enterprise Solutions stream and within their individual field of expertise with a focus on architecting, advising, building, migrating and supporting customers on SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and associated M365 applications.

The Solutions Consultant position is a hands‑on delivery role where the consultant will work closely with their clients and prospective clients to deliver Solutions as defined within the catalogue of offerings and following defined and approved methodologies and a clearly documented engagement scope.

Key Responsibilities

• The delivery of solutions engagements to the satisfaction of the client.
• Follow defined and documented solutions methodologies.
• Consulting, Configuring and Developing on Microsoft 365 with a primary slant towards SharePoint and knowledge management systems but also supporting Power Platform, MS Teams, Purview and other associated Microsoft related Apps like Copilot Studio and Azure AI Studio.
• Deliver Enterprise solutions and applications on SharePoint Online and MS Teams
• Provide solutions support to the Managed Services team
• Ensure that their end product deliverable operates in a secure manner as is consistent with the overall line of business.
• Work with clients to gain a full understanding of their functional and non‑functional solution requirements.
• Understand contracts underlying projects and pursue opportunities to facilitate change, increase revenue and reduce threats and improve financial performance. Manage project within commercial (impact / implications) of the contract.
• Identify opportunities for new business and new service offerings.
• Support the sales team on product demonstrations, proposals, documentation, and designs
• All other duties as required.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have developed an exposure to IT solutions development, documentation, assessment and should bring a degree of Subject Matter Expertise in their area.

• Diploma in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Scope, design, develop and analyse solutions for SharePoint. Ideally also for Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Azure
• Current state assessment, review and enhancements of existing solutions developed for Azure, Office 365, SharePoint Online or SharePoint On Premise
• Migration of data from File servers, legacy SharePoint and other document repositories and systems to SharePoint Online, leveraging tools like ShareGate
• Worked with Copilot for SharePoint
• Assisted with change management and training for SharePoint and associated M365 solutions
• Advise, configure and deploy governance solutions for SharePoint and Teams leveraging Purview
• Demonstrable experience at configuring, administering and developing in SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automat and Power BI.
• Familiarity with administering and configuring applications within Azure
• Exceptional communications skills, including engaging with internal teams, vendors and customers.
• Demonstrated experience working within a defined scope and analyse solutions.
• Ability to convey clear and quality advice based on technical knowledge.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience of testing solutions prior to delivery.
• Manage work and project time including the potential to be across multiple projects.

We will also be looking out for the following traits and experience:

• Degree qualification in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Product knowledge - sound general knowledge of Microsoft and Telstra (or similar) products and services.
• Power Apps Experience
• M365 Certification
• Interest in or ability to develop, and maintain AI-driven software solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot, custom development and other AI technologies
• Interest in or ability to utilize Azure AI services or Azure Integration Services to enhance the functionality and efficiency of existing applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into various projects
