About Insprove

Insprove is a Brisbane-based consultancy specialising in government digital transformation program delivery. We work with QLD and Commonwealth agencies to deliver complex transformation, legacy system replacement, and digital uplift programs.

Insprove is looking for an experienced Solution Architect with deep identity and access management expertise to support a federal government agency's enterprise IAM capability uplift in Canberra.

This is a contract running through to 30 June 2027 with a 12-month extension option. On-site in Canberra with potential for hybrid arrangements. Start date is ASAP.

The role

You’ll lead the design, governance and implementation of enterprise identity architecture across a complex government ICT environment. This is a hands‑on architecture role, not advisory. You’ll define target‑state identity architecture, reference patterns, integration standards and roadmaps. You’ll provide authoritative advice across workforce, privileged, service, application and external identity domains, ensuring identity strategy and platforms align with cyber security requirements and operational delivery needs.

What we need

• Must be able to obtain NV1 security clearance (Australian citizen, existing Baseline or higher preferred)
• Canberra‑based or willing to work on‑site (hybrid may be negotiated)
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise identity and access management architecture across complex ICT environments
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, federation, SSO, conditional access, MFA and identity integration across cloud and on‑premise
• Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle management, privileged access management, RBAC/ABAC, entitlement governance and least privilege principles
• Ability to translate business, security and operational requirements into practical architecture designs, standards, roadmaps and implementation guidance
• Experience influencing and communicating with senior executives, enterprise architects and technical teams

Highly regarded

• Relevant certifications: TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft identity/security certifications
• Experience in federal government or highly regulated environments
• Understanding of Zero Trust principles, cyber security architecture and resilience requirements
• Bachelor degree or higher in IT, cyber security, enterprise architecture or related field
