Job summary

Invested Talent partners with a leading Australian insurance organization to redefine crisis response tooling and disaster resilience. As the Product Owner, you will own the end-to-end roadmap for a mission-critical crisis response web application, coordinating cross-functional teams in a complex control centre environment.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous delivery of value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in product ownership or similar delivering digital products in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across technical and business domains in complex delivery landscapes.
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Technology, or related discipline.
• Strong commercial acumen with data literacy and technical fluency.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery models, including scaled frameworks.
• CSPO or SAFe Product Owner certification preferred.
• Experience with disaster management, insurance, or geospatial data is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly enhancements and strategic initiatives that balance short-term operational needs with long-term platform sustainability and scalability.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture requirements and translate complex business needs into clear, outcome-focused user stories.
• Manage delivery of product initiatives including oversight, governance, UAT/PVT testing, and release day coordination.
• Leverage user feedback, usage data, and operational learnings to drive continuous product improvement and adoption.
• Promote data-led decision-making to enhance situational awareness and operational insight within the control centre environment.
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors across a complex, cross-functional landscape

Hiring Criteria

• 5+ years' experience in product ownership or similar roles delivering digital products and platforms within enterprise environments
• Proven ability to operate in complex, cross-functional delivery landscapes and influence senior stakeholders across technical and business domains
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Technology, or related discipline
• Advanced commercial acumen with strong technical literacy and data literacy
• Extensive experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models, including scaled delivery frameworks
• Certified Scrum Product Owner ("CSPO") or SAFe Product Owner certification (desired)
• Strong problem-solving capability with ability to translate complex operational needs into manageable requirements
• Previous exposure to disaster management, insurance, risk, or geospatial data-driven environments is highly regarded
