Attribute Group is seeking a Solution Architect for Finance Systems to lead the high-level design of enterprise finance platforms, focusing on financial consolidation and reporting. The role is a pure architecture/design position within a hybrid work model, initially a 6-month contract, with potential extension based on program progress.

Solution Architect - Finance Systems, 6 month contract

About the Role We are partnering with a major Australian enterprise retail group to source an experienced Solution Architect for a high-profile, multi-million-dollar Group Finance Systems Transformation.

Operating within a large-scale 60–70 person program under Group Technology, this role sits at the intersection of enterprise architecture and executive finance stakeholder management. You will lead the logical architecture and integration design for OneStream, the group’s strategic financial consolidation, reporting, and complex allocation platform processing billions of records.

This is a pure solution architecture and design role (not application configuration) focused on establishing scalable integration patterns, data aggregation levels, and architectural governance across a complex multi-ERP (SAP) landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Solution Architecture: Lead the high-level design (HLD) and architectural direction for enterprise finance platforms, focusing on financial consolidation, statutory reporting, and complex cost allocation/apportionment models.
  


• Integration & Data Flow Design: Define robust data aggregation levels, ETL/ELT ingestion patterns, and master data governance between diverse upstream ERPs and downstream reporting consumers.
  


• Performance & Scale: Ensure enterprise-grade scalability to handle massive transaction volumes (billions of records quarterly/annually) leveraging high-performance multi-dimensional Cube Engine architectures.
  


• Governance & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted technical advisor to the CFO and senior finance stakeholders. Lead architecture reviews, manage vendor designs, enforce enterprise non-negotiables, and produce formal architecture artifacts early in the program.
  

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring a \"generalist specialist\" mindset with deep enterprise infrastructure breadth and a background rooted in complex corporate environments:

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated Solution Architecture experience operating at SFIA Level 5+ within complex, multi-tiered enterprise landscapes (banking, telecommunications, logistics, or large-scale retail/utilities).
  


• Domain Expertise : Demonstrated experience architecting financial consolidation, FP&A, and corporate performance management (CPM) ecosystems. Direct exposure to OneStream or similar unified single-model CPM platforms is highly advantageous.
  


• Technical Breadth: Strong foundational knowledge spanning enterprise networking, data encryption, cybersecurity, and ledger reconciliation patterns.
  


• Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation skills with the capability to translate complex accounting rules into elegant, scalable technical designs.
  

Initially a 6 month contract, this is a serious finance transformation with an extensive program of work that will offer the chance of extension in due course. Working model is hybrid (3/2). Excellent working environment.
